Anxiety running your life?
As much as you try to look like you have it all together, it feels like there's a part of you that's always on guard. There's a voice inside that never stops worrying, warning, planning, and bracing for the future. When that inner alarm never shuts off, anxiety creeps into everything in your life: your body, your sleep, your work, and your relationships.
Feeling exhausted because you have no off-switch for worry
Overthinking everything and still feeling like you’re missing something
Feeling scared, tense, your heart racing out of nowhere
Waking in a panic before your day has even started
Replaying conversations on repeat, wondering if you said something wrong
Struggling with what-ifs that are so loud, you second-guess yourself constantly
Maybe You’ve Been
You’re so ready to quiet the noise, to stop living in the shadow of worry and fear, to stop feeling controlled by your emotions, and to feel confident that you can be okay even in those tough moments.
You have a sense that maybe your past is showing up in your present. You want to get to the root of this because you know that is the way to achieve lasting change. You are wondering where to start and if there is someone who can help…
Find your calm and start living again.
I’ll support you in taking that first step
Together, we will build on your strengths, neutralize those triggers, and calm the body and mind. I will help you find what works for you, offering practical tools, supporting your nervous system, and encouraging you through gentle challenges. We will work through any blocks that may be keeping you stuck so you can move forward feeling more peaceful inside.
My approach is tailored to your unique needs and goals. I will help you understand anxiety and soothe your nervous system, tame those endless worries and what-ifs, find relief with powerful techniques to calm your body, and process past experiences that may be showing up in the present.
How It Works - Change That Lasts
I'm here to help you get to the root of your problems, uncover what has been holding you back, and help you understand what is going on beneath the surface. We will explore how your past has shaped your nervous system and your experiences of anxiety today. We will build a clear roadmap of where we are heading together and develop practical skills to take home and apply right away.
We go beyond just coping with symptoms and pinpoint difficult core memories and limiting beliefs for processing using effective therapies that go far beyond traditional talk therapy, including EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. We address and neutralize the root causes of anxiety, the present triggers, and practise moving into the future with calm and confidence.
Whether you are experiencing generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, or fear related to post-traumatic stress, these therapies can help you find relief faster and help you reclaim a sense of well-being in both your mind and your body. If anxiety has been running your life despite your best efforts to tame it, why not explore a different possibility? A life where anxiety no longer dictates your choices or consumes your energy is within reach.

What to Expect
free consultation
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your current challenges and determine if my approach aligns with your needs.
first appointment
Your first 50-minute appointment is a guided conversation where I get to know you and understand what you would like to work on changing. I will ask about your anxiety symptoms, when they started, how they show up in your life, and what your goals are for therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out or share your entire story in the first session. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
ongoing sessions
We meet weekly or biweekly, depending on your needs and phase of treatment. Consistent attendance is important, especially when doing the deeper work of addressing core issues. I may offer between-session practices and homework to help you apply insights and skills in your daily life.
I offer both in-person and online therapy for anxiety in Calgary and online sessions across the whole of Alberta, with convenient early morning, lunchtime, and evening scheduling options designed to accommodate busy professionals.

This is unique for each person and can depend on the presence of other contributing factors and your engagement with the process. Some clients experience significant relief within 5 to 10 sessions using approaches like ART, while others benefit from a longer course of therapy for more complex or longstanding patterns.
-
Not all therapy approaches are equally effective for anxiety disorders, and finding the right therapist is crucial for effective treatment. The modalities I use, particularly EMDR and ART, work differently than traditional talk therapy and often succeed where other approaches have been insufficient.
-
While processing past experiences can be valuable for resolving anxiety at its roots, we move at your pace and within your window of tolerance. The approaches I use are designed to process difficult experiences without unnecessary retraumatization. You do not have to explain or analyze everything in detail.

Yes, EMDR is highly effective for anxiety even when there is no clear traumatic event. While EMDR was originally developed for trauma, research shows it works exceptionally well for generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and chronic worry. Many women experience anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere or is focused on future concerns rather than past events. EMDR can target the underlying patterns, negative beliefs, and nervous system dysregulation that fuel your anxiety, whether or not you can pinpoint a specific cause.

If anxiety is affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or physical health, or if you are simply exhausted from managing it on your own, then yes, your anxiety is absolutely valid enough for therapy. Many high-achieving women struggle with this question because they appear successful on the outside, making them question whether their internal suffering counts. You do not need to be in crisis to deserve support. Therapy is for anyone who wants to feel better, develop healthier coping strategies, and stop living with constant internal tension.
-
Your first session is a guided conversation where I get to know you and understand what you would like to work on. I will ask about your anxiety symptoms, when they started, and what your goals are for therapy. This is also your opportunity to ask me questions about my approach. Many clients feel nervous before their first session, which is completely normal.
-
Yes, online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for treating anxiety. Research consistently shows that virtual sessions produce the same positive outcomes as meeting face-to-face. I offer both options, and you are welcome to switch between online and in-person sessions based on your schedule and preferences.

EMDR works differently than traditional talk therapy because it processes anxiety through bilateral stimulation rather than relying solely on cognitive discussion. While CBT focuses on identifying and changing anxious thoughts, EMDR targets the underlying memories, beliefs, and nervous system patterns that fuel your anxiety. Many clients find EMDR requires less detailed verbal processing, and it tends to work faster, often showing significant results in fewer sessions.

Effective therapy does not diminish your capabilities or ambition. It enhances them by separating healthy drive from anxious striving. The goal is to help you achieve without the constant internal pressure, self-doubt, and exhaustion. Many clients discover they become more productive and effective when they are not depleted by anxiety, perfectionism, and overthinking.

While I do not bill directly to insurance providers, I provide receipts that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Many extended health plans cover services provided by registered therapists.
