EMDR Intensives in Calgary, AB
Finally live life on your own terms.
Intensive therapy to help you find true peace - at your pace.
Sometimes weekly therapy sessions aren’t the right answer.
Just when you’re starting to make progress, the session ends, leaving you feeling like you’re back at square one. You’re ready for lasting change, but your already-packed schedule makes the idea of adding more feel overwhelming. Still, you know something needs to change. Whether it’s trauma that won’t let go, patterns you’re ready to break, or simply wanting more confidence and peace, you’re ready to do the work in a way that actually makes a difference.
Maybe you’re realizing…
You want to dive deeper into therapy, beyond what you’ve done before.
Therapy sessions in the past have always felt too short—you’d like longer sessions to really make progress.
You know there’s trauma you need to address, but you haven’t had the time or space to focus on it.
Weekly therapy feels impossible to fit in—whether you’re a busy mom, professional, or CEO, you need flexibility and a schedule that works for you.
Even with all the degrees, achievements, and proof that you’re good enough, you still don’t feel it inside.
EMDR intensives offer a unique approach that works with your life. They’re designed to help you dive deep, process what’s been holding you back, and create lasting change—all in a more condensed, retreat-style timeline. This is your chance to finally focus on you, your goals, and the healing you’ve been waiting for, all in a way that fits into your already busy world.

Deeper healing - done differently.
The Process
-
We’ll start with a conversation to see if this process feels right for you—and if I’m the right person to guide you through it. During our call, we’ll:
Get to know each other: I want to hear about your needs and what you’re looking for.
Discuss EMDR: I’ll explain how this evidence-based method works and what you can expect from it.
Make sure we’re a good fit: Intensives aren’t for everyone, so we’ll take some time to assess if this is the best path forward for you.
-
If we decide to move forward, our next step is a longer session to get to know one another and establish goals. This session gives us the chance to:
Talk more deeply about what’s going on for you.
Get clear on what you want to work on and target during your intensive.
Make sure this type of therapy feels like the right fit. If not, I’ll recommend next steps, like further individual therapy to prepare.
Then, I’ll give you an EMDR workbook to start outlining your goals and prepare for the reprocessing work ahead.
-
This is where we’ll do the deep work together. These sessions are tailored to your needs and can be scheduled either on consecutive days or spaced out over weeks—whatever works best for you.
1-Day Program
A 5-hour session, with 4 hours of EMDR and time for breaks.
Includes your Pre-Intensive Session (90 minutes) and a follow-up Post-Intensive Session (50 minutes).
2-Day Program
A 10-hour session spread over two days, with 8 hours of EMDR and plenty of time for breaks.
Includes your Pre-Intensive Session (90 minutes) and a follow-up Post-Intensive Session (50 minutes).
Note: Check with your insurance if they will cover the cost of EMDR Intensives or Extended EMDR Therapy sessions.
-
About a week after your intensive, we’ll reconnect. This session is a chance to:
Process what came up during the intensive.
Reflect on your insights and progress.
Reinforce the changes you’ve experienced and help integrate them into your daily life.
For my existing clients, I also offer extended sessions for when you’re in crisis, feeling overwhelmed, or just need extra time to go deeper.
EMDR intensives can help you…
Get fast, focused relief that goes straight to the root of the problem.
Let go of limiting beliefs and create new, empowering ways of thinking about yourself.
Feel more confident taking risks, especially when it comes to your career and goals.
Break free from nagging beliefs holding you back and replace them with ones that actually serve you.
Understand and make sense of how your past is showing up in your present
Begin living life more on your terms, instead of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Work on exactly what you need, with a plan that’s focused and personal to you.
Heal painful memories and make lasting changes that really stick.
This process helps close the gap between what you know in your head and what you feel in your heart, allowing you to create a clear path toward the person you truly want to be and the life you’re meant to live.
Who Benefits Most from EMDR Intensives?
EMDR intensives are particularly beneficial for:
Busy professionals who struggle to commit to weekly therapy
Women in helping professions (nursing, teaching, social work) experiencing burnout
Those seeking deep change rather than surface-level coping strategies
Individuals who feel stuck with the results from traditional therapy
People who've experienced traumatic events that continue to impact their daily functioning
High-achievers struggling with anxiety, depression, or complex trauma despite external success
Common Questions About EMDR Intensives Calgary
-
Traditional weekly therapy typically involves 50-minute sessions spaced over months or years. This format works well for many issues but can create challenges when processing trauma, as the limited time may interrupt the healing process just as you're reaching important insights.
EMDR intensives provide extended, uninterrupted time to process difficult experiences fully. This concentrated approach helps maintain momentum and can lead to more rapid resolution of trauma symptoms and limiting beliefs than might be possible with weekly therapy sessions alone.
-
The intensive sessions are structured to include regular breaks and pacing that respects your nervous system's capacity for processing. As your therapist, I'm continually monitoring your well-being and adjusting our approach accordingly.
Many clients find that the intensive format actually feels less overwhelming than traditional weekly therapy because it allows for complete processing of painful memories rather than having to "put them away" mid-process until the next session.
-
Many clients report significant shifts during and immediately following their EMDR intensives. You may notice changes in how you feel about past experiences, reductions in anxiety and emotional reactivity, improved sleep, and a greater sense of confidence in your life.
That said, integration is an ongoing process. Some benefits emerge over the weeks following your intensive as your brain continues to process and integrate the work we've done together.
-
Following your Post-Intensive Session, we'll discuss recommendations for your continued growth journey. Some clients benefit from occasional "booster" sessions, while others find they have the skills and relief they need to continue integrating their experiences independently.
If ongoing support would be beneficial, we can discuss transitioning to individual therapy or connecting you with additional resources tailored to your specific needs.
Change doesn’t have to take forever
Let’s embrace your new path to healing, today.
